Beatrice
S. Joyce, age 86, of Adams, Wisconsin died Tuesday, November
7, 2006 at the Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship,
Wisconsin.
Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November
10, 2006 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship,
Wisconsin. Father James P. McNamee will officiate.
Visitation will be at Roseberry's Funeral Home on Friday
from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
Interment will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 11,
2006 at the St. Leo�s Catholic Cemetery, Friendship,
Wisconsin. Military rites will be offered at the service by
the Adams VFW Post #6279; the Adams American Legion Red
Cloud Post #250; and the Grand Marsh American Legion
Snyder-Richardson Post #273.
Beatrice was born September 1, 1920 in Newark, New Jersey
to Claude S. and Nellie (Auman) Sharp. She graduated from
Paulsboro High School in 1938. Beatrice was a veteran of
WWII, serving in the Marine Corps. She married James Joyce
on May 19, 1945 in Indian Head, Maryland. Following the war,
the couple moved to Beaver Dam and later Baraboo, before
moving to Friendship in 1957. Beatrice worked as the Village
Clerk for the Village of Friendship for 25 years. She later
worked for St. Joseph�s Catholic Church as the
secretary/treasurer for 13 years, retiring in 1994.
Beatrice enjoyed reading, traveling, quilting, and
spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Beatrice was a member of the American Legion Red Cloud
Post #250 of Adams, Parish Council of Catholic Women at St.
Joseph�s, and the Friendship Homemakers, Adams County
Memorial Auxiliary, and the Boy and Girls Scouts.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, husband,
James � Aug of 1976; son, Thomas; granddaughter, Jamie;
brother, Albert Sharp; and a sister, Joy Webber.
