Wilbur "Bill" Wayne Pare, age 76, of Adams, Wisconsin died Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at home.

Funeral services will be 12 Noon on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. The Chaplain Bill L. Jones will officiate. Military rites will be offered after the service by the Adams VFW Post #6279; the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post #250; and the Grand Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson Post #273. Cremation will follow the service.

Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at Roseberry's Funeral Home. The Adams County Sheriff�s Department will provide an Honor Guard at the service and visitation.

Bill was born on January 18, 1930 in Slater, Missouri the son of Walker and Lillian (Birch) Pare. He grew up and graduated from High School in Missouri and later served in the U.S. Navy from January 27, 1947 to February 7, 1950. Following his military service, Bill began his lifelong career in law enforcement. He worked in the early 1960�s for the Adams County Sheriff�s Department and the Wisconsin Dells Police Department before he was elected Sheriff in Adams County for two terms from 1968 until October of 1973. Then in 1973 he began work for the Federal Correctional Institute in Oxford, WI where he retired as a Lieutenant on September 28, 1993.

Bill married Peggy Priester on August 30, 1965 - this union was blessed with four children before ending in divorce.  Bill married Louise F. Ciszek on May 30, 1980 in Adams, WI.  They spent the next 26 years together,  she was a loving and devoted wife and mother. 

Bill enjoyed hunting, working in his workshop, and enjoying socializing with his friends, family and grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Walker and Lillian.

Son: Dan (Deb) Nelson of Cary, IL - Grandchildren: Diandra, Kelly

Daughter: Linda (Bill) Maurer of Adams, Wisconsin - Grandchildren: Lindsey, Hannah, Jason

Son: David (Angelica) Wesely of Green Bay, Wisconsin - Grandchild: Alyssa

Son: Mike (Judy) Wesely of Glasgow, MT - Grandchildren: Shyla, Chad, Skyler

Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are John Firlinger, Craig Graham, Ken Perkins, Melvin Waller, Edwin "Chief� Williams, and Ron Carlson.
