Esther
Marie Thrasher, age 88, of Friendship, Wisconsin died
Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the Villa Pines Living
Center in Friendship, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November
20, 2006 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship,
Wisconsin. Rev. Richard Eberly will officiate. Interment
will be at the South Arkdale Cemetery, Town of Strongs
Prairie, Adams County, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 12 Noon until the time of service on
Monday at Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Esther was born June 3, 1918 in Holmsville, Wisconsin
(present day Dellwood) to Hilbert and Mabel (Wollum) Sparby.
She married Norman Anton Thrasher on October 1, 1941 in
Adams, Wisconsin. After World War II, the couple made their
home in Seattle, before settling in Milwaukee in 1952. The
family returned to Adams County in 1968. Esther worked at
many jobs throughout her life, including Badger Ordnance
during WWII, the ship yards in Seattle, house cleaning at
the Tomah Savings Bank in Adams and for several homes in the
area.
Esther enjoyed sewing, crafts, talking on the phone with
friends and family, and visiting with her neighbors.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; husband,
Norman (August 21, 2006); three brothers, Hilmer, Blaine,
Corliss; and one Sister, Isabelle.
