Memorial
services for Thelma Irene Binger, 82, of Villa Pines Living
Center, formerly of Adams, Wisconsin, will be conducted at
3:00 p.m. at the Roseberry�s Funeral Home and Crematory,
Friendship, Wisconsin, on August 12, 2007. Friends may call
at Roseberry�s beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the time of
service on Sunday.
She died peacefully at the University Hospital in
Madison, Wisconsin on August 7, 2007 from various
infirmities. Thelma was born on October 16, 1924 in
Belvidere, Illinois, the daughter of William Warren Jordan
and Violet Hannah (Wilson) Jordan. She graduated from Adams
Friendship High School with the class of 1942. She married
Omar Lee Robinson of Sutton, West Virginia on June 20, 1942.
Omer passed away on April 28, 1953. She then married Albert
Henry Haskins of Big Flats, Wisconsin on September 8, 1954.
They were divorced in 1965 and Albert passed away on October
24, 1980 while living in Oregon. She then married Cecil
Bernard Binger of Adams, Wisconsin on December 2, 1967.
Cecil passed away on September 22, 1977. While raising seven
children and after working as a waitress in various
restaurants in the Adams-Friendship and Berlin, Wisconsin
area and as a seamstress for Sand Knitting Mill in Berlin,
she took her training for her dream job and worked for 17
years as a nurse�s aide at Adams County Memorial Hospital
until her retirement.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Lee Irene (Gordon
K.) Klaus, Grand Marsh, Wisconsin and Geraldine May (Keith
E.) Lanphear, White Creek, Wisconsin; five sons, Dennis Eugene (Nancy) Robinson, Wisconsin Rapids,
Wisconsin, Samuel Lee (Irene) Robinson, Aurora, Illinois,
Edward George (Linda) Robinson, Florida, Charles Alan (Kay
Premo) Robinson, Adams, Wisconsin and Randall Aaron Haskins,
Friendship, Wisconsin; 24 grandchildren, many great
grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a sister-in-law,
Myrtle Jordan, Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
In addition to her three husbands, she was predeceased by
her parents and her brother, Raymond Arthur Jordan, two half
sisters, Mable Stevens (Mrs. Adolph Bernard) and Eva Mae
Stevens (Mrs. Marion James Ramsey), and three half brothers,
Elmer (Ethel) Stevens, Freeman F. (Hazel) Stevens, and
Samuel (Dorothy) Stevens.
Thelma enjoyed Family get-together�s and Christmas
celebrations, Bingo, reading, watching the Brewer�s, game
shows, salad luncheons, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles,
macram�, and "watching the world go by". She was an active
member of Royal Neighbors, Adams Congregational Church
Circle, the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and the Adams
County Historical Society for many years. Thelma�s remains
will be cremated and interned at the Mount Repose Cemetery,
Friendship, Wisconsin at a later date. |
