Ernest
M. White, age 83, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Thursday,
August 2, 2007 at his home following a long battle with lung
disease.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 6,
2007 at the Assembly of God Church in Adams, Wisconsin.
Pastor Todd Leininger will officiate. Interment will be at
the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin. Military
rites will be offered at the graveside service by the Adams
VFW Post #6279; the Adams American Legion Red Cloud Post
#250; and the Grand Marsh American Legion Snyder-Richardson
Post #273.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of service on
Monday at Assembly of God Church.
Ernest was born May 29, 1924 in Kennett, Missouri to
Earnest and Bulah (Wells) White. He joined the Navy at age
17 to serve in WWII. Ernest served in the Pacific Theater of
War. Following the war, he enlisted in the Army and later
served in the Korean as a sergeant for 5 years. Ernest
worked as an electrician in the oil industry in California.
He was married to the late Mildred Meeham in 1951.
Ernest married Sarah Hartley on January 23, 1972 in
Ontario, California. The couple moved to Racine in 1974,
where Ernest worked for J.I. Case until 1987. Ernest and
Sarah moved to their home in the Town of Quincy in 1991.
Ernest enjoyed helping family and friends with his skills
as an electrician. He went to Guatemala with his church to
help build a new school.
Ernest was a member of Assembly of God Church.
Ernest was preceded in death by his Father � Earnest
White; step-father � Elmer Adams; mother � Bulah Adams;
first wife- Mildred Meeham; sister-Margie Smith; grandson �
Keith Marima; and step-son � Wayne R. Bell.
