Wilbur
Morgan Bacon, age 77 of Easton, Wisconsin died Sunday,
January 7, 2007 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield,
Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 12 noon on
Wednesday, January 10th at Roseberry�s Funeral
Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Sam Downey will officiate.
Interment will be at the Easton Cemetery. Visitation will be
10:00 am on Wednesday until time of services.
Wilbur was born July 31, 1929 in Town of
Easton the son of Elton B. and Bertha E. (Morgan) Bacon. He
graduated from Adams Friendship High School. He was born and
worked the family farm all of his life.
Wilbur was a member of the Lion�s for 16
years and President for 2 terms; Representative for Grand
Marsh Lions in many conventions and served on many
committees; Club representative on Lion�s eye bank; was a
member of the Grand Marsh Development Committee for many
years and served as President and on the Board of Directors;
He ran the bar for Friday night Fish Fry at the Community
Center; Adams County Nutritional Site he delivered meals on
wheels, and enjoy working with staff and participants at the
Easton Nutritional Site; Old Farmers Antique Club Inc. he
served as director of operations for 2 years; was Charter
member and one of the first 4 men to start the club and
museum at the Adams County Fair Grounds; he worked hard
preparing the buildings and enjoyed driving and showing his
tractors at the Museum Events and tractor drives.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
