Donald Lewis Dilworth Sr., age 63, of Friendship,
Wisconsin died Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at his home
following a courageous battle with COPD.
A Private family service will be held, with a public
memorial service in Racine, Wisconsin at a later date.
Interment will be at the West Lawn Cemetery, Racine,
Wisconsin.
Donald was born May 8, 1943 in Portland, Indiana to
Maurice and Alpha (Arnold) Dilworth. He was raised in Fort
Recovery in Ohio. Donald served in the U.S. Navy from June
2, 1960 to March 28, 1964 and later served in the U.S. Army
from 1977 to 1998. He married Diane K. Orth on June 2, 1962
in Racine, Wisconsin. Following retirement, he and Diane
moved to their home in Adams County.
Donald was very proud of his military service, earning
numerous awards and citations.
Donald enjoyed woodworking, fishing, HO trains, NASCAR,
riding his ATV, and playing with his dogs, Baxter and
Bernie.
Memorials may be directed to the American Lung
Association.
Donald was preceded in death by his Parents, Maurice and
Alpha Dilworth.
