 Georgene McLane, age 83, of Mauston, Wisconsin died
Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the Moundview Memorial
Hospital & Clinics in Friendship, Wisconsin. She had been a
resident at Villa Pines Living Center for the past two
years.
Private family services are planned for a later date.
Georgene was born May 10, 1923 in LaGrange, Illinois to
Charles H. and Esther Clark. She grew up and graduated from
high school in LaGrange. Georgene earned a bachelor�s degree
in math at the University of Chicago in 1943. She married
John H. McLane on July 16, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois.
Georgene and John were longtime residents of Hampshire, IL
before moving to Mauston, WI in 2003.
Georgene enjoyed knitting, gardening, word puzzles,
baking cookies, and spending time with her family.
Georgene was preceded in death by her parents; one
brother, Philip Clark; and two infant children.
