Sophie
Mary Rodger, age 84, of Portage, Wisconsin died Thursday,
January 11, 2007 at the Moundview Memorial Hospital &
Clinics in Friendship, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 15,
2007 at the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Brooks, Wisconsin.
Father James P. McNamee will officiate. Interment will be at
the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Town of Marion, Juneau
County, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 12 Noon until the time of service on
Monday at St. Ann's Catholic Church.
Sophie was born August 28, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois to
Stanley and Eva (Podbielski) Kabacinski. She married Edward
Kobylski on June 24, 1944 in Mauston, WI. This marriage was
blessed with three children before being widowed in 1957.
Sophie and family then moved to Oxford, WI. She later
married Hollis Rodger and was blessed with a daughter.
Sophie lived in Portage, Wisconsin until this past
December when she moved to Adams, WI to be closer to her
family.
Sophie enjoyed crocheting, being with her family, seeing
her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren,
visiting with her friends, sharing memories of the past, and
doing things for others.
Sophie was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #6003 of
Oxford and St. Ann�s Catholic Church.
Sophie was predeceased in death by her
Parents, husband Edward Kobylski; 2nd husband
Hollis Rodger; daughter June Kobylski; two Brothers, Stanley
and John; and two sisters, Irene and Helen.
