 Florence
Lillian (Johnson) Droste-Brooks, age 91, of 428 Hiwassee Rd,
Lebanon, TN., formerly of Adams, WI, passed away on May 15,
2007. She was born on November 5, 1915 in Big Flats, Adams
County, WI. Florence was the daughter of Peter and Leora
(Murray) Johnson.
She was married to Claude Droste on July 8, 1931. To this
union 6 children were born, Lottie, Carl, Leo, Gloria,
Robert, and Peggy J. This marriage ended in a divorce. Her
second marriage was to Charles Brooks on July 14, 1962, this
marriage also ended in a divorce.
Florence loved crocheting, embroidering, playing cards
with family and friends, and traveling back and forth from
TN to WI to visit with family and friends. She was a member
of the VFW Auxiliary in Adams since 1975.
Survivors include children Leo (Evelyn) Droste, Gloria
Herr, Robert (Arlene) Droste all of Lebanon, TN and Peggy
(Tom Reutter) Henriksen of Arkdale, WI. She is also survived
by one daughter-in-law, 27 Grandchildren, 66
Great-Grandchildren, 16 Great-Great-Grandchildren, 7
sister-in-laws, 3 brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, family
members and friends. She will be sadly missed by all.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, daughter
Lottie, son Carl, former husbands Claude and Charles,
brothers Lewis, Clifford and Kenneth, sisters Christine,
Agnes and Gladys, sons-in-law, Victor Herr and Raymond
Henriksen, and 3 Granddaughters.
The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. May 28, 2007 at the
Trinity Lutheran Church in Arkdale, WI. with visitation from
10:00 a.m. until the time of service.. Interment will be at
Niebull Cemetery. |
