Ernest
Joseph Tourangeau, age 84, of Friendship (formerly of
Milwaukee), Wisconsin died Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at his
home following a short battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday,
April 4, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lyndon
Station, Wisconsin. Father Paul Czerwonka will officiate.
Visitation will be Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until
the time of Mass.
Funeral services in Milwaukee will be on Sunday, April 6th,
at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes, Wisconsin Memorial
Park. Father Jeff Prasser will officiate. Visitation on
Sunday will be from 2 to 4 p.m.
Interment will be at the Wisconsin Memorial Park,
Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Ernest was born October 16, 1923 in Danforth, Michigan to
Arthur and Valentine (Charbonneau) Tourangeau. He was a
veteran of WWII, serving in the Army Air Corp in the
European Theater of War. Ernest was stationed at a B-17 air
base in England for 22 months. Following the war, Ernest
made his home in Milwaukee, WI. He married Beverly Ann
Nunemaker on August 26, 1950 in Milwaukee, WI. Ernest worked
for AO Smith Corp. for 38 years, retiring in 1986. In 1990,
he and Beverly moved to their home in Quincy Township �
Friendship.
Ernest was a former Scoutmaster for Troop 99 � St.
Catherine�s in Milwaukee; a member of 390th Bomb
Group Vet Assoc; the American Legion Red Cloud Post #250;
and was a member of Steel Workers Union 19806.
Ernest enjoyed taking care of his property, snow blowing
in winter his property and his neighbors, and playing cards.
Ernest was preceded in death by parents; sisters,
Bernadette Reuter and Cecile Fries; and brothers, Rene
Tourangeau and Leo Tourangeau.
