Jerome Fallos, 69, Rib Lake, died Monday, Dec. 17 at his
home surrounded by his family and under the care of Hope
Hospice and Palliative Care. A Mass of Christian Burial will
be held Friday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic
Church in Rib Lake, with Father Bernie Byrne officiating.
Interment will full military honors conducted the Lehman-Clendenning
American Legion Post No. 274 of Rib Lake will take place at
St. Ann's Cemetery in the Town of Greenwood. Pallbearers are
Mark Fallos, Rodney Fallos, Richard Weinzatl, James Wellman,
Joseph Ziembo, Robert Maxwell and Daniel Schneider.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 20 from 5 to 8
p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with a prayer service
at 7:30 p.m., and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until
the time of the service.
Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake
assisted the family with arrangements.
Claude Fallos was born April 22, 1938 in Dellwood to the
late Willie and Rubey (Higgins) Fallos. He attended grade
school in Dellwood and high school in Friendship. He served
from 1955 to 1957 in the United States Army as a tank
driver.
On June 28, 1958 in Waukegan, Ill., he married Arlene
Elizabeth Thums, who survives. They lived in West Allis
where he was employed at Harley-Davidson and also with a
highway construction company. They then moved to Rib Lake
where he was employed at Hurd Windows and Doors as a
security guard, then at Blount Mfg. as a welder and
assembler for 34 years, retiring in 2000. He then worked
part-time at Great Northern Cabinetry in Rib Lake for one
year and was currently a security guard for Per Mar at
Blount Mfg.
He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and
Lehman-Clendenning American Legion Post No. 274. He enjoyed
spending time with his family, playing his guitar especially
on Sunday mornings, listening to country music, fishing and
ice fishing, taking drives and hunting.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his children,
Pamela (Richard) Weinzatl of Ogema, Mark of Rib Lake,
Blanche (James) Wellman of Medford, and Rodney (Brenda),
Rhonda (Joseph) Ziembo, Claudette (Robert) Maxwell and
Sheila (Daniel) Schneider, all of Rib Lake; a brother, Carl
"Mike" of River Falls; a sister-in-law, Shirley Fallos of
Sussex; six sisters and three brothers-in-law, Isabel
George, Paula (John) Klein and Norma (Richard) Cekan, all of
Friendship, Carol (Allen) Eineichner of Milwaukee, Gloria
Bahl of Horn Lake, MS., and Dorothy Kovisto of Superior; 27
grandchildren, Becky, Sarah and Katie Weinzatl, Traci
(Logan) Borchardt, Joshua (Amber), Timothy (Jennifer), Eric
(Samantha) and Valerie Fallos, Jeremy, Jacob and Jerome
Wellman, Jessica (Tom) Nowak, Jamie (special friend, Ken)
Wellman, Heather, Bradley and Joseph Fallos, Jaclyn,
Gregory, Amy and Emily Ziembo, Christen (special friend,
Nick) Kathrein, Cassandra (special friend, Ryan) Kathrein,
Sadie Kathrein, and Derrick, Dustin and Dilan Schneider;
four great-grandchildren, Owen and Keeten Nowak and Isabella
and Jaxon Fallos; nieces and nephews; and other relatives
and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a
great-grandson, Rylan Kathrein; a brother, William; and a
sister and three brothers-in-law, Ann (Harold) Rundle, Paul
George and Raymond Bahl.
In his honor, memorial contributions to Hope Hospice
would be appreciated.
