Reba U. Endicott age 88, died July 21, 2008 at Fairview
Home in Mauston, Wisconsin.
Memorial and funeral services will be
held July 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Vahalla Capel, 7600 St.
Charles Rock Road in St. Louis, Missouri and she will be
laid to rest next to her husband and our father, Carl M.
Endicott.
Reba was born of Willie Ellen Sailors
Bishop and William Henry Bishop, on November 19,1919, the 7th
of 9 children. She was raised on a farm, married at 16
and lost her first babies, (a set of twins) when she was
17. Her husband joined the Air Force and they divorced
during the war. She then met and married Carl M. Endicott
in 1944. They moved to St. Louis, Missouri where she bore
and raised four children while caring for the children of
many others.
As a wife, parent, grandparent, child,
sister and friend Reba was an exceptional being of
extraordinary understanding and compassion. Her life was an
expression of unconditional love for all who entered her
sphere. Always a haven of peace, always a kind thought for
you, she had a wonderful sense of fun, an enjoyment of life
and the ability to make the worst of life bearable. She
continually looked for and found the good in any situation,
with insights that guided her life and touched everyone she
knew. She was the best person any of us has ever known.
She was the last to survive among her
parents and siblings, and was the last surviving parent of
her children and their spouses.
She is survived by one stepdaughter,
three daughters, one son, two sons-in-law, one step
granddaughter, one step grandson, five granddaughters, four
grandsons, two step great-grandsons, three great-grandsons,
three great-granddaughters, one great-great grandson and
one great-great granddaughter.
Please God, take care of her as she has
cared for each of us, lovingly and with great tenderness.
Mother, you could not have imagined how deeply you will be
missed.
