 Gladys
Mabel Jackson, age 86, of Pickerel, Wisconsin died Monday,
June 16, 2008 at the Villa Pines Living Center in
Friendship, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17,
2008 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship,
Wisconsin. Rev. Kelly Fisher will officiate. Interment will
be at a later date at the Arburtus Lutheran Cemetery,
Pearson, Wisconsin. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. until the
time of service on Tuesday at Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Gladys was born September 4, 1921 in Pearson, Wisconsin
to August and Bertha (Schwade) Kussman. She grew up and
graduated from school in Pearson, WI. Gladys married Joseph
M. Jackson on February 8, 1941 in Antigo, Wisconsin. The
couple made their home in Pickerel, WI. Gladys worked mostly
as a cook at various places in the Pickerel area.
Gladys enjoyed her garden and flowers, creating wood
crafts with her husband Joe, baking for family, and watching
her family play baseball.
Gladys was a member of the Arburtus Lutheran Church and
it�s ladies group. She also organized a girls group in
Pickerel, WI.
Gladys
was preceded in death by
parents; husband, Joseph; daughter, Judy Selenske; brother,
Herbert; and three sisters: Dorothy, Alma, and Elsie.
