Hubert
(Bert) Banning Marshall age 89 passed away on Saturday, June
28, 2008 at St. Clare Meadows Care Center in Baraboo.
He was born on November 21, 1918 in Miles
City, Montana the son of Edgar Marshall and Allie Robinson.
Bert graduated from Necedah High School. After graduation he
worked in the CC Camp and then served in the Army Air Corps
during World War II. He retired after working for
thirty-three years at Castle Rock Power House.
He was united in marriage to Priscilla
Reuterskiold on August 30, 1941.
Bert was an avid fisherman and hunter. He
liked nothing better than to get up early in the morning and
go fishing or duck hunting. But best of all were his trips
to South Dakota to hunt pheasants.
He was a member of the Quincy #71 Free &
Accepted Masons of WI and the American Legion Red Cloud Post
#250.
Bert is survived by his wife of 67 years
and his four "girls": Cheryl (Richard) Donkle, Deborah
(Mark) Gresens, Rhonda (Daniel) Ranieri and Lori (Kenneth)
Holcomb. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Lara (Gresens)
Quiroga, Kristin (Donkle) Attiogbe, Nicole Holcomb, Jerry
Holcomb, Megan Donkle, Erica Gresens, Larry Holcomb and
Alexis Ranieri and six great grandchildren.
His sister Marjorie preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m.
preceding the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July
5, 2008 at Roseberry�s Funeral Home in Friendship with
burial at the Dellwood Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Tarvid will
officiate.
