Harold
H. Golz, age 89, of Endeavor, Wisconsin died March 2, 2008
at the Montello Care Center in Montello, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. on Thursday at Davis Corners
United Methodist Church. With Funeral services immediately
following. Pastor Steve Miller will officiate. Interment
will be at the Davis Corners Cemetery.
Harold was born June 26, 1918 in Adams County, Wisconsin
the son of William and Anna (Huber) Golz. He married Hazel (Garlock)
Golz on July 20, 1939. Harold farmed for many years in
Jackson Township followed by a long career in carpentry. He
was employed by several employers including Millvander�s of
Madison, Coon Brothers Construction and Stroede Brothers
Construction. He also drove truck and school bus for Warren
W. Coon. Harold and Hazel owned and operated Club 23,
Wisconsin Dells for several years. He played baseball for
many years. Harold was an avid golfer and was a member at
Thal Acres for many years. Upon retirement Harold and Hazel
moved to a beautiful wildlife setting with ponds near
Endeavor. Harold loved to observe and feed the wildlife and
tend to the ponds. Harold and Hazel have been members of the
Davis Corner�s Methodist Church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers;
Harvey, Harry, Orville, Willis and Vearn and his sisters;
Jean Stroede, Lucille Amundson, Burnice Hanson and Helen
Coon.
He is survived by his wife Hazel of Endeavor, sons,
Harold, Jr. of Oxford, John (Marcia) of Oshkosh and James
(Carla) of St. Cloud, Florida and his sister Hilda (Harold)
Potter. He is also survived by his grandchildren, including
Debbie, Eileen, Audrey, Connie, Nicole, Jimmie and Cindy.
