Mary
M. Zalewski, age 86, formerly of Friendship, WI died
Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Lexington of Lake
Zurich Nursing Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. on
Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the St. Joseph's
Catholic Church in Friendship,
Wisconsin.
Father James P. McNamee will officiate.
Interment will be at the St. Leo�s
Catholic
Cemetery, Friendship,
Wisconsin.
Visitation will be on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service
at
7:45 p.m. at Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Mary was born
October 27, 1921 in
Swiętochlowicach,
Poland
to Frank and Emma (Koczinski)
Probanowski.
She married Joseph Zalewski on September 23, 1948 in
Enschede,
Holland. In
1952 they came to the United States and settled in
Connecticut with their children
Robert(Betty) Luck and Irene(Robert Brown).,
where Henry (Lois) was born. They later moved
to Chicago where Ela
(Gregg Tovella) and
Christopher (Karen) where born. In 1976 Mary
and Joseph retired to Friendship, WI.
Mary is survived by her children: Robert (Betty)
Luck, Irene (Robert) Brown, Henry (Lois) Zalewski,
Elizabeth (Greg) Tovella, and Chris (Karen) Zalewski ;
grandchildren: Mike, Annie, John, Stacy, Michelle
(Hussein), Katie, Brian, Eric, Natalie, Gregory, Todd,
Jake and Jenna and her great-grandchildren; Bobby,
Molly, Andrew, Mikey,
Cecily, Joey , Kristen,
Mariam and Noah. You
will be in our hearts forever.
Mary enjoyed gardening,
traveling, playing cards, and spending time with her
grandchildren.
Mary was a member of the
Women�s Auxiliary and the Women�s Polish Auxiliary.
Mary was preceded in
death by her parents; and husband, Joseph Zalewski.
