Eva
May McChesney, age 89, of Portage (formerly of Grand Marsh),
Wisconsin died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Divine Savior
Healthcare in Portage, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14,
2008 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship,
Wisconsin. Pastor Sam Downey will officiate. Interment will
be at the Easton Cemetery, Town of Easton, Adams County,
Wisconsin.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time
of service at Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Eva was born June 27, 1918 in Grand Marsh, Wisconsin to
George and Louise Emma (Engnath) Colby. She married William
C. McChesney on January 28, 1936 in Adams, Wisconsin. Eva
was a loving, generous, caring and thoughtful person. She
enjoyed farming, canning, baking biscuits for grandchildren
and especially enjoyed sewing quilts.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, George and
Louise Colby; husband, William C. McChesney; 7 brothers, 2
sisters and son-in-law, Elza Ketchum.
