The eldest son of Lloyd E. and Ethel H. (Russell) Shaw, Lloyd was born at home on November 24, 1946 in Cutler Township, Juneau County, Wisconsin

He attended Necedah High School and later joined the United States Marine Corps in which he fought in the Vietnam War.

Prior to being deployed to Vietnam, Lloyd married Ginger Winchel in March of 1966, and they later divorced in 1979. Their marriage resulted in the birth of his four children Jamie, Bobbi, Jeff and Desiree.

A long time resident of the Adams County area, Lloyd worked for nearly 20 years at AF motors as a body shop technician. He spent the last several years working as a groundskeeper at area golf courses.

Lloyd married Barbara Schmieder on June 8, 1985 at Castle Rock Park in Adams County, Wisconsin.

In his early years Lloyd enjoyed stock car racing on area dirt race tracks and later became an avid muscle and classic car collector and restorer. He and Barb also loved to attend classic car shows in Jefferson and Iola. They spent many hours with friends and family on their boat, The Naked Lady, at Castle Rock Park.  When the children were younger Lloyd and Barb were fond of taking them camping and fishing.

He was a self taught carpenter, electrician and plumber, and used those skills to complete their basement and garage at their new home in Big Flats.

Lloyd will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
