Gerald B. McKay, age 72, of Adams, Wisconsin died August 10, 2009 at his home in Adams, Wisconsin.

A memorial gathering will be held at the VFW Post #6279 in Adams, Wisconsin on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.

Military rites will be offered by the Veterans Honor Guard of Adams County. 

He was born June 11, 1937 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Clark McKay and Hazel Bashaw.

Gerald served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He married Lyla Kuenzi on December 19, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Gerald worked for Jones Trucking for many years prior to his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, repairing cars and playing horseshoes.  Gerald liked to go to the casinos and enjoyed the warm weather.  He was a great handyman.  Gerald was a member of the VFW Post #6279 for many years. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Daughter:  Cindy McKay of West Bend, Wisconsin

Son:  Roger McKay of Fort Worth, Texas

Brother:  Roger McKay of Franklin, Wisconsin

Brother:  Danny McKay of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Sister:  LaVonne Berry of Phoenix, Arizona

Sister:  Anita Bontemple of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Further survived by many:  grandchildren, relatives and friends
