 Shirley
Mae Powers, age 82, of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin died Thursday,
August 20, 2009 at the Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics
in Friendship, Wisconsin.Memorial services will be 3:00
p.m. on Saturday, September 12th, 2009 at the
Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. John
K. Stake will officiate. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until
the time of service on Saturday at Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Interment, at a later date, will be the Valhalla Cemetery,
Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Shirley was born March 27, 1927 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
to Kurt B. and Florence M. (Peterson) Geschrei. She married
Herbert W. Powers on February 7, 1948 in Dubuque, Iowa. The
couple made their home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where they
raised their sons. Shirley and Herbert retired to Grand
Marsh in the 1997.
Shirley enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and her dogs
and cat.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Kurt B. and
Florence M. (Peterson) Geschrei; husband, Herbert Powers;
and son, John Powers.
