Dolores
Eva Dolge, age 74, of Arkdale, Wisconsin went to be with the
Lord on December 23, 2009 at Moundview Memorial Hospital &
Clinics in Friendship, Wisconsin.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Interment will be at the Niebull Cemetery, Big Flats,
Wisconsin.
Dolores was born May 24, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to
Harry Edward Nelson (formerly of Big Flats) and Alma Knuth
of Milwaukee.
She graduated from Rufus King High School in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin. After graduating she worked for North Western
Mutual Life Insurance Company.
Dolores married Roy Dolge on June 25, 1955 in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin. Together they enjoyed showing and breeding
quarter horses and Paint horses. They lived out west where
they also raised and showed dogs. She was an avid antique
collector and owned one of the three antique shops that
started in Princeton, Wisconsin. Dolores was president of
the Depression Glass Club in Colorado. She started the
Wisconsin Chapter of Granite Wear Collectors. Dolores was a
member of the Adams County Historical Society. She had many
close collector friends throughout the 50 States that she
kept in close contact with. Her and her daughter
participated in West Central Antique Shows and they had very
memorable and fun times together. Dolores worked the
election Booths for many years in Strongs Prairie. She
enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and shared her many
interests with them.
She was preceded in
death by her parents; sister: Dorothy Wier; and brother:
Donald Nelson.
