Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 03, 2009 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home, 512 Main St., Friendship, Wisconsin. Father James P. McNamee will officiate. Interment will be at the St. Leo Catholic Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday and on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Roseberry's Funeral Home, Friendship, WI.  A prayer vigil will be held on Monday evening at 6:00 p.m.

Peter was born April 19, 1943 in Warsaw, Poland to Maksymilian and Marianna (Michaluk) Sobocha. He grew up in Warsaw with his family and was much loved by his extended family and many dear friends. Peter moved to Chicago, IL in 1969 and married Eva Gryka on June 17, 1972. He worked as a machinist for Zenith Electronics for 26 years. In 1984 the family moved to Lombard, IL and in 1999, following his retirement, Peter and Eva moved to Arkdale, WI.

Peter enjoyed fishing, boating, being outdoors, spending time with his family and friends, watching his son play sports, dancing and joking with his wife, making traditional Polish dishes and sausage, working with his tools, lending a helping hand to anyone who needed it, and spending time with his grandson, Sam. Peter was always very proud of his family and their accomplishments.

Peter loved animals, especially dogs and horses, and had many german shepherds throughout his life; most recently Dory and Rex.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents.
