Geraldine Regina Knapczyk Lent age 75 of Adams, died Friday,
July 17, 2009 at her home at Liberty Manor following a long
battle with cancer.
A
celebration of life will be held on July 23, 2009 at 5:30
p.m. at Roseberry�s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin.
Pastor Terri Skildum will officiate.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service
on Thursday at Roseberry�s Funeral Home.
Cremation will follow the traditional service and burial
will be at Dellwood Cemetery in Dellwood, Wisconsin on a
later date with a private family service.
Gerry
was born October 3rd, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois,
a daughter of Andrew and Frances (Gatz) Knapczyk. She
married Joseph F. Lent on September 27th, 1952 in
Chicago. This marriage ended in divorce in 1982. They
relocated to Adams County in 1968. Gerry retired in 1994 as
a dispatcher at the Adams County Sheriff�s Dept.
Gerry
loved being around her family and friends and was devoted to
her daughters. She loved flower gardening, creating
crafts with her best friend Anita Schnolis, and dancing. In her younger
days she enjoyed bowling with the gals of Kob�s Kobblers and
was thrilled to be the washboard player in Beulah�s Barn
Yard Band. She enjoyed life.
Survivors include her sister Lorraine Byk of Hickory Hills,
Illinois; three daughters, Debby Lent of Arkdale, Cindy
(Carl) Brittingham of Wyoming, Illinois, and Kathy (Mike)
Kuss of Friendship. She is survived by six grandchildren;
Jason (Krista) Lent of Dunlap, Illinois, Carl C. (Mandi)
Brittingham of Wyoming, Illinois, Justin (Melissa Housworth)
Lent of Arkdale, Jacob (Melissa DeNure) Vana of Madison,
Heather (Wesley Morrissey) Brittingham of Toulon, Illinois,
and Alyssa Kuss of Friendship. Five great-grandchildren;
Logan, Brayden, Emma, Abby and Kayleigh Lent. She is further
survived by many special nieces and nephews.
