 Verla
Grace Waite, age 94, of Sun Prairie (formerly of Adams),
Wisconsin died Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Haacks Tendercare
of Liberty Square in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.Funeral
services will be 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2009 at the
Assembly of God Church in Adams, Wisconsin. Pastor Tom
Edwards will
officiate. Interment will be at the New Chester Cemetery,
Town of New Chester, Adams County, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. until the time of service on
Monday at the Assembly of God Church.
Verla was born May 7, 1915 in Brooks, Wisconsin to Alva
and Minry (Atkins) Morgan. She married Benjamin Waite on
August 8, 1931 in Adams, Wisconsin. She worked as a nurses
aid for Adams County Memorial Hospital for 21 years,
retiring in 1974 to take care of her husband after he
suffered a stroke. Verla moved to Sun Prairie with her
husband to be near family. She has lived the past 2 � years
at Haack�s Tender Care (an assisted living facility in Sun
Prairie).
Verla enjoyed crocheting, golf, knitting, needlework,
making many clothes for her children and grandchildren.
Verla was a member of Railroad Women�s Club, Women�s
Missionary Council at the Assembly of God Church in Adams.
Verla
was preceded in death by
parents, Alva and Minry (Atkins) Morgan; husband, Benjamin
Waite (1988); son, Danny (2008); daughter, Ramona (1997);
sister, Elda LeRoy; brothers: Erlo and Rellis Morgan;
Sisters-in-law, Margaret (Peggy) Morgan and Marie Morgan;
nephew, Richard LeRoy; and grandson, Ricky Waite.
