Vivian E. Card, age 73, of Oxford, Wisconsin passed away on June 17, 2009 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

 

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Roseberry�s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. Mike Amberg will officiate.

 

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

 

Vivian was born March 13, 1936 in Portage, Wisconsin to John and Erma (Henningson) Foat.

 

She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1954.

 

Vivian married Doye L. Card on September 1, 1954 in Dubuque, Iowa. Doye and Vivian lived in Beloit, Wisconsin for 18 years and during this time their marriage was blessed with seven children.

 

She enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening, playing bingo and going to the casino.

 

Prior to her retirement Vivian worked at Family Land in Wisconsin Dells and did occasional volunteer work at the Brooks School.

 

Vivian and Doye built their log home in Oxford, Wisconsin with the help from their family. They have lived there for the past 15 years.

 

Through out Vivian�s illness she was fortunate enough to have her granddaughter, Miranda Cavanaugh, along with the help of her boyfriend Brian Schoonover, live with her and provide her with the care that she needed.

 

She was preceded in death by her:Husband:  Doye Card, Father: John Foat and Mother:  Erma (Henningson) Foat

   

Survivors:

Son:  Terry (Elizabeth) Card of Oxford, Wisconsin

Daughter:  Cheryl (Hans) Gutknecht of Independence, Iowa

Son:  Robert (Kellee) Card of Crestview, Florida

Daughter:  Sally (Jim) Winchester of Madison, Wisconsin

Daughter:  Kathy (Rex) Reichhoff of Oxford, Wisconsin

Daughter:  Lorie (Jeff) Coon of Reedsburg, Wisconsin

Daughter:  Patricia (Ken) Zdziarski of Oak Creek, Wisconsin

20 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren 

Brother:  Duane Foat of Beloit, Wisconsin
