Roy
Carl Thompson, age 70, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Friday,
June 19, 2009 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield,
Wisconsin following a brief battle with cancer.
Funeral
services will be 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at
the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin.
Pastor Sam Downey will officiate.
Military rites will be offered at funeral home by the
American Legion Honor Guard. Cremation will
follow the traditional service with final interment at the
Quincy Cemetery, Town of Quincy, Adams County, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be on Wednesday at Roseberry's Funeral
Home from 4 until the time of service.
Roy was born March 20, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois to
Lawrence and Wilma Thompson. He served in the Air Force from
1957 to 1961. He married Judith Elaine Wood on October 21,
1961 in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. Roy worked for the Waukesha
County Sheriff�s Department and drove semi for Beaver
Transport. The couple moved to Adams County in 1970. They
owned and operated the Castle Rock Lake Motel and later the
Westwind Mobile Home Estates.
Roy enjoyed Nascar, ice fishing, hunting, and working. He
also enjoyed visiting with his neighbors and friends.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, and wife,
Judith E. Thompson (April 2, 2005).
