Darrell Andrew Schlafer, age 77, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the HospiceCare Inc. in Madison, Wisconsin following a massive stroke. 

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin.   Pastor Jim Link will officiate.  Interment will be at the Easton Cemetery, Town of Easton, Adams County, Wisconsin.   

Visitation will be at Roseberry's Funeral Home on Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. 

Darrell was born June 6, 1931 in Jacquish Hollow, Wisconsin to Phillip and Willma Schlafer.   He was married Jean B. Caucutt in 1958 in Hill Point, Wisconsin  This marriage ended in divorce.

Darrell married Mona Schlafer on September 2, 1972 in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.  Darrell�s chosen professions were farming and later driving truck.   

Darrell enjoyed hunting, tractors, truck driving, and spending time with his family. 

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents; wife,  Mona Schlafer; son,  Thomas Schlafer; son,  Merlin Winchester; brother,  Earl Schlafer; brother,  Neal Schlafer; brother,  Phillip "Bud" Schlafer; sister,  Eunice Durst; and sister, Elizabeth Wilson.
