Shirley
Ann Wiese, age 76, of Grand Marsh, Wisconsin went home to be
with the Lord on Wednesday, March 4, 2009.
A celebration of life will be held at United Presbyterian
Church in Wisconsin Dells on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at
11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Keller officiating. Visitation
with her family and friends will be Friday, March 6 from 6 �
8 p.m. at United Presbyterian Church and again on Saturday,
March 7 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Shirley was born on Feb. 3, 1933 in Adams-Friendship,
Wisconsin to Bernie and Hazel Needham. She was one of three
girls with sisters Jeannette and Iris. Shirley was joined in
marriage to James (Jim) Kenneth Wiese on June 4, 1955 and
raised three children: twin sons Todd James and Douglas
John, and daughter Carol Jean.
Shirley graduated with a teaching degree from the
University of Milwaukee and spent several years teaching
before starting her family. She was an active member of the
United Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon, an
Elder and the secretary of the church. Shirley had a passion
for music and singing and was a long-time member of the
church choir.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband Jim; son Todd
(Dawn) Wiese; son Doug (Molly) Wiese; daughter Carol Wiese;
eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren and sister
Jeannette (Darrell) Kurth. She will also be missed by
numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She
was preceded in death by her parents Bernie and Hazel
Needham and sister Iris Werner.
