James
Henry Kamps Sr., age 79, of Rome, Wisconsin died Friday, May
22, 2009 at the Nekoosa Retirement Community in Nekoosa,
Wisconsin.
Memorial
service will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20th, 2009 at
the
Rome Town Hall, 1156 Alpine Drive Nekoosa, WI 54457.
(town hall is on the coroner of Hwy 13 and Cty D).
James was
born August 23, 1929 in Five Points, Iowa to Henry and
Genevieve (Fisch) Kamps. He grew up and graduated from High
School in Iowa.
James
married Irene G. Jarmuth on June 24, 1950 in Skokie, IL.
They resided in Morton Grove Il. Irene died in 1973 and Jim
continued to live in Morton Grove until January of 2003 when
he moved to Rome, Wisconsin. James worked for Wells
Manufacturing Company of Skokie for 42 years. He married
Roberta (Nelson) Kamps in May of 2003 in Morton Grove
Illinois.
James
enjoyed fishing, taking walks and playing darts with
friends.
James was
preceded in death by his parents and his wife Irene G. Kamps.
