William J. Stamper Sr. "Bill", went home to be with his Lord on Saturday February 27, 2010 at Moundview Memorial Hospital after a long illness at the age of 71.

Waiting to greet him was his Dad and Mom, Howard and Bernice; first wife, Virginia; daughter, Sheba; grandson, Jimmy; great-granddaughter, Naomi Joy; sister, Jordis; and brothers: Joe, Todd, and David.

On October 17, 1987 he married Deborah Pierson in Friendship. Together they enjoyed, gardening, hunting and going for drives in the country.

Bill liked to work in the woods, fishing and coaching little league baseball. Later in life he received an Associates Degree in Sociology from Madison Technical College. He worked for Madison AIDS Support Network for 2 years before becoming a stay at home dad. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He always enjoyed talking and joking with everyone he met.

Bill is survived by his

wife, Deborah Stamper of Friendship

children and grandchildren, Sheila and Russell Savage and Sheila�s children Ginny and Charlie

Sheba�s children Michelle and Brandice

Bill and Shelly Stamper and their children Will, Kristin, Adam and Grant

Craig Stamper

Susie and John Hug and their children Nicole and Nathan

Bob and Julie Stamper and their children Michael, Clay, Alicen, Virginia, Lori, David and John.

Jeremiah and Trescha Stamper and their children Belle and Hester Angel

Stepson Rob Pierson and sons Brian and Nick and daughters Brooke and Jada

Mary Reynolds and her son Dustin

Also survived by sister Lois and brothers Jack, Jerry (Brenda), Gene, Tom and 10 great grandchildren and special friend and niece Tina and other relatives and friends.

Bill was a loving husband and father who loved his family. We will all miss him very much.

Services for Bill will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Adams on Saturday, March 6, at 2:00 p.m. with fellowship after the service.
