Ann May Buchanan, age 96, of
Strongs Prairie, Wisconsin died Monday, August 2, 2010 at
the Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston, Wisconsin
Funeral services will be 12 Noon on Wednesday, August 4,
2010 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship,
Wisconsin. Father David Komatz will officiate. Interment
will be at the Strongs Prairie Cemetery, Strongs Prairie,
Adams County, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on
Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at
Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Ann was born June 25, 1914 in Stone City, Kansas to
Matthew and Stephanie Fannie (Kravanya) Komatz. She married
Robert Buchanan on April 24, 1952 in Neshkoro, Wisconsin.
Ann worked at Allis-Chalmers in West Allis, the Veterans
Administration in Washington DC during WWII, and
International Tractor Company. She and her husband had a
Registered Herd of Brown Swiss Dairy Cows. Ann enjoyed her
years in the barn milking cows, working until age 76.
Ann enjoyed reading, traveling, playing cards, and
gardening.
Ann was a member of SNPJ Lodge.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and
Stephanie Komatz; husband, Robert Buchanan; sister, Rose
Kramer; Sister-in-law, Avis Komatz; and Sister-in-law,
Kathleen Komatz.
