Ruth
Hovorka, age 92, of Adams, Wisconsin died Saturday, March
27, 2010 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield,
Wisconsin.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on
Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the Roseberry's Funeral Home in
Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. T. Christian Nelson will
officiate. Interment will be at the Quincy Cemetery, Town of
Quincy, Adams County, Wisconsin.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the time of service on
Thursday at Roseberry's Funeral Home.
Ruth was born May 24, 1917 in Quincy Township, Adams
County, Wisconsin to Herman and Augusta (Berlin) Hamstengel.
She attended McBride grade school in Quincy Township. She
married Frank Hovorka on June 26, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois.
They made their home in Chicago where they raised their
family. They retired to Dellwood, Wisconsin and later they
moved to Adams Village where she lived until her time of
death.
Ruth enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and spending time with
her family.
Ruth was a member of St. John�s Lutheran Church in
Quincy.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and
Augusta Hamstengel; husband, Frank Hovorka (March 2, 2005);
one brother; and three sisters.
