Richard Raymond Mecklenburg, age 70, of
Friendship, passed away Saturday March 27th at
home surrounded by his children. Private family services
were held. A celebration of life for Richard and his wife
Barbara will be held Friday, April 23rd from 6
:00 p.m. to 12 Midnight at the Cedarshack in Adams,
Wisconsin.
Richard was born July 4th
1939 to Walter and Lucille (Wall) Mecklenburg in Fond du
Lac, Wisconsin. On August 11th 1973 he married
Barbara Cook.
Richard, Barbara and family moved to
Adams County, Wisconsin in 1973. He worked for Chicago
Northwestern/Union Pacific Railroad for 47 years. Richard
trained son Michael, making them the only father-son
training team in the state in the railroad industry.
Richard was predeceased by father
Walter, and wife Barbara.
He is survived by
his mother,
Lucille Mecklenburg,
daughters Pamela
(Gary) Gorlen, Valerie (John Owen) Mecklenburg Holland, Amy
(Darin) Baggs, Carol (Daniel) Uniewski, and son Michael
(Melissa). Further survived by 18 grandchildren and 4
great-grandchildren with twins on the way. |
