Otto
Sipla, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at
the Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship, Wisconsin.
Otto
Sipla was born on January 2, 1919, in Friendship, Wisconsin
and spent his entire life living and working in Adams
County.
Otto
worked at various businesses in the area over the years,
including the Morris Picus Feed Mill and the Ford Garage in
Friendship. In 1949 he began working for the
Adams-Friendship School District as the district�s bus
mechanic as well as driving a bus route. He retired from the
school district after 30 years of service.
Otto
and Jean also operated the Shoreline Resort on Big
Roche-A-Cri Lake for a number of years.
Otto
had a long-time interest in Ford Model A�s and Harley
Davidson motorcycles, as well as fishing and hunting,
especially deer hunting. He also was an avid snowmobiler for
a number of years beginning in the early 1970�s.
Otto
is survived by his wife Jean; two sons, Gregory Sipla of
Stevens Point, and Raymond (Lorraine) Baine of Wausau. He
also had 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren who all
survive. He also has two surviving sisters, Alice of Adams
and Clara of Janesville. He was preceded in death by three
brothers, Charles, Victor, and James, and one sister, Josie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on March 26 at
Roseberry's Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 a.m.
until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
Interment will be at the Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship,
Wisconsin.
