Edwin was born March 14, 1944 in
Town of Lincoln, Adams County, Wisconsin to Eddie and Luella
Stevens. He attended Adams-Friendship Schools. He worked
with his dad rebuilding and repairing tractors and also did
small engine repair work. Following his fathers death he
continued doing this type of work.
In 1984, he met his wife Gladys
Payne-Kulas and they were married on July 21, 1984 in Grand
Marsh. He then started the second chapter of his life and
resided in Plover for six years and then moved to Almond
where he and Gladys have resided for the last 20 years. In
1993, his Grandson Brandon came into his life and he and
Gladys raised him as their own. Edwin continued to do small
engine repairs helping family and friends up until his
illness.
Edwin enjoyed hunting, fishing,
gardening and dancing and truly loved repairing and fixing
things. He was a very patient and giving man and was always
there if anyone needed anything.
Edwins family would like to thank
The Comfort Care Unit from Aspirus Hospital in Wausau along
with family and friends and neighbors for all of their care
and support during his brief illness.
He was preceded in death by his
parents: Eddie & Luella Stevens; brother, Larry Stevens; and
nephew, Larry Gauthier.
