Duane
M. "Duey" Farnsworth, age 68, of Big Flats, Wisconsin passed
away on May 11, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield,
Wisconsin.
A memorial gathering will be on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at
the Roseberry's Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin from
1:00p.m. until 4:00p.m.
Duane was born July 22, 1941 in Woodstock, Illinois to
Merle and Julia Farnsworth. He grew up in Delavan,
Wisconsin and graduated from Delavan-Darien High School.
Duey moved to Big Flats where he met his Soul Mate,
Maude, of 23 years. He worked out of the same terminal in
Wisconsin Rapids for the past 24 years as an over the road
truck driver retiring in October of 2009 due to poor health.
Duey enjoyed spending time with his family and friends
and enjoyed hunting & fishing. Duey could never say "no"
when there was anyone in need of a helping hand. He liked to
watch softball games in Arkdale, was an avid Green Bay
Packer fan and he enjoyed watching Western Movies and
reading Western books.
If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, we
would walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
You are gone from our sight, but not from our hearts.
He was preceded in
death by his parents, Merle & Julia Farnsworth; son, Roy
Billington; half-brother, Forrest Farnsworth.
