REUBEN MILLER OBITUARY
Reuben William Miller, age 86, of Wonewoc, died Wednesday,
November 17, 2010 at Fair View Nursing Home in Mauston, WI.
He was born on February 8, 1924, the son of the late Fred
and Marie (Krueger) Miller in Juneau County. Reuben spent
time in Panama working as security on the canal during his
time in the service. He was united in marriage to the late
Betty Jane Carpenter on October 18, 1947 in Hillsboro, WI.
Following their marriage they lived in the Wonewoc area.
Later they moved to Baraboo, WI and then returned to live on
a farm outside of Wonewoc. Reuben ran a small dairy farm and
worked for the Township of Summit for many years.
Survivors include: son, Larry (Colleen) Miller of Mauston;
daughter, Jill (Daniel) Statz of Reedsburg; 2 brothers,
Harold (Mary) Miller of Wonewoc and John (Joyce) Miller of
Richland Center; granddaughter Dawn Luke and
great-granddaughter Makala Luke of Mauston; nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Carpenter)
Miller; parents, Fred and Marie (Krueger) Miller; brothers,
Fred, Earl, Robert, and Leroy Miller and an infant grandson,
Jeremy Miller.
Reuben�s family greatly appreciates all the wonderful care
that the staff of Fair View Nursing Home provided during the
last few years as well as the support of family and friends.
The Adams County Cremation Society (http://www.adamscountycremations.com)
is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Memorial services will be held at the Mauston Kingdom Hall
of Jehovah�s Witnesses, at N3565 County Road K (corner of K
and 12/16), Mauston, WI 53948 on Sunday, November 28, 2010.
The visitation will be from Noon to 2 p.m. with the funeral
service at 2 p.m. This will be followed by a luncheon at the
Mauston City Hall at 303 Mansion Street Mauston, WI 53948.
All friends of the family are invited.
