Bruce O. Giessel, age 71, of Friendship, WI lost his battle with lung cancer on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Villa Pine Living Center in Friendship, Wisconsin.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Suzanne; a brother, James of Virginia; three sisters: Geraldine, Marilyn, and Dawn, all of Forest County, Wisconsin; further survived by nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie and Ruby Giessel and his brother, Marvin Giessel.

Bruce was a railroader who started his career in Madison, WI with Chicago Northwestern in 1969.  In 1983, he transferred to Adams and continued working for the Chicago Northwestern and Union Pacific.  He retired in 2001.  Bruce enjoyed hunting and fishing, and over the years he raised Springer Spaniels and exhibited show cats. 

As Bruce requested, a private family service will be held at Roseberry�s Funeral Home.
