Ada Margaret Diels

Ada Margaret Diels(nee Morrison) of Westfield went to join God and her husband Elder on Oct 10, 2011, age 88.

She was born on January 28th, 1923 in Whitby, North Yorkshire, England. To the late Joseph and Annie(nee Brewster) Morrison. Ada grew up in England where she met Elder Diels during WWII. She worked at St Josephs Hospital, London and Elder was an MP in the U.S.A. Army. They met during an air raid on London. They married on January 27th, 1942 in Kent Wellington, England.

She came to America after the war. They lived in Waubeka, Newburg and West Bend. She was a house wife until 1963 when she started working at The West Bend Co. She worked there until 1976 when they moved to the Grand Marsh area. There she worked at The Curtis Co in Oxford until retiring.

Ada loved to work in her flower gardens and yard, she also loved to read.

She enjoyed having tea with her best friend Shirley Wohlfert and her daughter Kristine Boettcher and other friends.

On Nov. 6, 2010 she moved from her home of 34 years to Westfield, WI. To be near her daughter Shirley.

Ada was a proud mom, grandmom, great grandmom, and great great grandmom.

She is survived by her five children: Shirley Grupe of Westfield, Kathy (Jerry) Malsom of West Bend,
Larry (Ellie) Diels of Campbellsport, Brian (Julie) Diels of Pulaski, and Nancy (Kelly) Kollmann of Fond du Lac, 24 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Edith Morrison of Whitby N. Yorkshire, England, half-brother, Collin Morrision of England, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 53 years, Elder; grandson Michael Grupe, great-grandson, Mathew Grupe; sister, Sally (Don) Scadden of England; and brother, Joseph Morrison of England.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15th, 2011 at Roseberrys Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Pastor Barbara Merwin will officiate. Interment will be at Mt. Repose Cemetery, Friendship, Wisconsin.

Friends may call on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
