Alan Raymond Hoff, age 70, of Friendship, Wisconsin died Sunday, September 3, 2017 at his home in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin.    Pastor Martin Nolet will officiate.  Visitation will be at Roseberry’s Funeral Home on Thursday, September 14th, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.  Friends are then invited to the Spot-in-Woods for a celebration of life gathering. Please wear Hawaiian themed clothing in honor of Alan.

Funeral services will also be held at the Kenosha Funeral Home. Interment will be at the St. George Cemetery, Kenosha, Wisconsin.  Please check with Kenosha Funeral Home for service information.

Alan was born February 11, 1947 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Jerome Edward and Lilian Marie (Hagelsure) Hoff. He attended Bradford High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  Alan worked for JI Case in Racine before being drafted into the Army in 1966. He served as a Demolition Specialist and was a veteran of Vietnam War.  He returned to work at JI Case in Racine, Wisconsin and worked for them for 30 years and retired at age 48 years old.  He married Denise L. Church on September 28, 1990 at Russell Community Church in Russell, IL.

They vacationed in Dellwood and slowly spent more and more time there.  Eventually, they moved here full time and made their home in Arkdale.

Alan enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing, spending time in the outdoors, and visiting his friends at the local watering holes.  He raised 3 girls on his own, which he would tell you was some crazy times, as you could probably imagine.  He was a big practical jokester and story teller.   “Uncle Al the kiddies pal ” is what everyone knew him as.  He also liked to double talk to everybody

He could play the and the harmonica and recently learned the Yuku laya.  Alan also had pictures and articles of an Indian baby burial site and was interested in the areas historical beginnings.  He made jewelry from deer antlers.

Alan was a member of the American Legion, NRA, VFW, and the UAW.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome Edward and Lilian Marie (Hagelsure) Hoff;

Grandchildren:  Emily, Eric, Samantha, Charlie-Ann, Enrico III, Mathew Alan, Megann, Madysen
Step-grandchildren:  Collin & Brenton
Great Grand Children:  Ryder, Shana, Sierra, Benjamin Alan & Adalynn.

Further survived by other relatives and many good friends.
