Was saddened to hear of Pastor Eytzens passing…but I know heaven will not be the same now. I knew him when he was pastor in Rice Lake. In fact he was the pastor who married us…I will always remember his cheerful words and his jolly laughter. He was truly a man of God. Hugs to the family and we all know we will again meet some day. I can’t help but think of the reunion he has received from former members of Rice Lake A/G…my parents among them…
Very sorry to hear of the passing of Pastor Eytzen, he was a true gentlemen, very proud of his family, he never quit or made
excuses, he was a Pastors Pastor, a great man of God!! He will be missed,it was a true honor to know him and be counseled by him!
May the Lord give his family comfort and peace.
Brother Eytzen was a wonderful, thoughtful, caring man. Always kind, always strong. It was wonderful just listenning to him pray. Now he has completed a wonderful life and has received the reward of being in the presence of his Savior. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.
Brother Eytzen will be missed! I got to know brother Eytzen during a transition between pastoral leadership in Lodi, WI. Pastor Eytzen came in and helped us with the transition as an interim pastor. His cheerful attitude, love council and wisdom were a tremendous blessing!
We enjoyed Pastor Eytzen’s ministry while at Evangel in Madison. He married us while he was pastoring at Rio. So…we have fond memories of him and loved him. Thanks Pastor Eytzen. Condolences to the family.
We thank the Lord for the opportunity to know Brother Eytzen. We got to know him during our time as children’s ministers at Adams Assembly of God in the 1990’s. We fondly remember the times of fellowship, worship, and prayer, as well as sitting in on his wonderful Bible studies. Most of all, we remember his wonderful smile and words of encouragement. Thank you for showing us that ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ with Jesus.
Andrew was our very dear oldest cousin, and he always made our Eytzen Family Reunions more fun and interesting. And visiting in their home was a warm experience, no matter how cold it was outside!
God’s peace and comfort to the family and many friends.

Andrew has always been a very special cousin to us over the years. He had a vibrant personality that showed the love of God at all times. He had an awesome sense of humor. He had a determination to overcome all the physical difficulties he had to endure. We had the privilege of visiting him in the hospital on one of our trips from Washington. We always had high respects for him. To the family that is left behind, we pray for comfort and words of sympathy during this time of parting. What memories you all will cherish. LOVE AND PRAYERS, BOB AND MARY at Ferndale, WA
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I (Ruby) have many fond memories of my contacts throughout my life with the Eytzen family. My dad enjoyed fishing with Andy in No Wisconsin. As an itinerating WNMD missionary, I enjoyed the hospitality in the homes of Jacob Eytzen, Andrew Eytzen, the Miles, and the Bushes. It was our privilege to host the family in our home in Springfield when they celebrated a wedding. Enjoying fun times together was wonderful. I’m sorry that I will miss being with you during this celebration of the life of your father figure who has made a valuable contribution to the lives of so many including me. We are now living in Amarillo, TX. Though far apart in miles, I will be with you in spirit.
As a teen-ager living in Rice Lake, Pastor Andy Eytzen was my pastor. I still remember his laughter and gentle compassion he showered down on all people. I remember vividly the wide-eyed expression he exhibited when a new car was given to him by the congregants of his church! I remember the times I got to ride in it. I remember the times he baptized people and I remember the one time he forgot to bring dry clothes with him. I remember the painting he gave our family at Christmas time. I remember him leading worship service and the many times he expressed an interest in the people he loved so dearly. A true pastor. A true Christ-like representative that clearly demonstrated to me just how I ought to live.
Sorry Vety sorry for your loss,
Shirley I know you were very happy with the time you shared with Andrew. God bless I am thinking of you during this time.
Andy Eytzen will be missed by all. I will remember him as my pastor and my friend, my pastor when our family attended Racine Assembly where I grew up under his ministry and as my friend as a fellows minister. The fruit of his life dedicated to God will bear for many generations to come. Well done my brother and friend.
We knew and loved Bro. Eytzen. He took time to chat, get to know us, and welcome us into his home as itinerating WNMD missionaries. We always enjoyed ministering in the churches he pastored. His cheerful attitude and faithfulness to God endeared him to so many parishioners and fellow ministers. We will miss him greatly and look forward to seeing him again in heaven. “There are better things ahead than any we leave behind” (C.S. Lewis).
