Anne Marie Berndt

Anne Marie Berndt, 68, of Friendship (formerly of Kenosha), Wisconsin died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at her home after a long illness.

Born on May 3, 1943, in Kenosha, WI, she was the daughter of the late Delbert L. and Hilda E. (Pilligor) Hart.

On May 31, 1989, she was married to Douglas T. Berndt in Kenosha.

Anne was employed by Snap-On Tools, Home Interiors, and Dougs Bar. She retired to Adams County in 1998.

Anne enjoyed spending time entertaining her friends at her home, ceramics, traveling, tending bar, creating floral arrangements and marathon shopping.

She is survived by her husband, Doug; son Richard (Mandy) Andraschko; daughter Kathy Berndt, daughter Tina (Bill) Curry; son Daniel (Ann Hamburg) Andraschko; daughter Sherri (Tim Schorr) Behringer-Thomas and eleven grandchildren. She is further survived by her three brothers, Gene (Marilyn) Hart, Harold Hart, Mike (Chris) Hart; one sister Edie Carpentier and many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny and a sister Jan.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 1 p.m. followed by lunch at United Christian Church, 1411 74th Street, Kenosha, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Tomah Hospice Touch, CWCAC Building, 1874 Hwy. 13, Friendship, Wisconsin 53934.

    I did not know Anne personally,but I used to work at a grocery store in Wisconsin Rapids and one day she came up to me and struck up a conversation. I wear oxygen and she wanted to know why,so I told her. Then she told me her story. Every since that day when we would see one another any where we always chatted for a bit. Super nice lady!     WE WERE SO SHOCKED AND SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT ANNE’S PASSED. SHE WAS A VERY NICE AND HAPPY GO LUCKY PERSON. ALWAYS HAD GREAT FUN WHEN SHE WAS TENDING BAR.OUR SYMPATHY TO DOUG AND FAMILY. AL AND MARY ANN SATHER
