Annie E. Dornacker, age 91, of Adams, Wisconsin died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the Moundview Memorial Hospital & Clinics in Friendship, Wisconsin.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Pastor Sam Downey and Rev. Stanley Cottrell will officiate. Interment will be at the New Chester Cemetery, Town of New Chester, Adams County, Wisconsin.
Friends may call at Roseberrys Funeral Home on Saturday from 12 Noon until the time of service.
Annie was born July 26, 1919 in New Chester Township, Adams County, Wisconsin to Fred and Augusta (Strochien) Henke. She married John Dornacker on May 16, 1943 in Platteville, Wisconsin. They purchased her parents farm and raised their family there. She was widowed in November of 1966. Annie moved to Adams in 1972. She moved into Liberty Manor in 2007.
Annie loved stitching and sewing, spending hours at Liberty Manor doing crafts. She was well known for the dozens of sock monkeys she made.
Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Augusta (Stroschein) Henke; infant daughter, Karen; brothers: Walter, Edwin, Lewis and Arthur; her sisters: Esther and Evelyn; grandchildren: John Bays and Chris Dornacker.

So sorry to learn of Annie’s passing. Our Aunt Loy (Podoll) Sokolowski in Portage is 7 months older than her and had fond memories of being good friends with Annie and sewing clothes together.
We remember being able to fish along the Fenner’s Lake shore of Johnny & Annie’s farm property a couple times back in the 1960s, too.

We worshipped with Annie at the First Baptist Church in the 80’s when it was so small. We all had a good time together. If I remember right, one of her favorite songs was "Because He Lives". She was a woman to remember.
May you always remember the love from and good times with your mom!! Our sympathy to you all.
I will greatly miss my Aunt Annie. I have so many fond memories of time spent with the Dornacker family as a child on the farm. Carol and I will also miss our visits with Aunt Annie when ever we were in Wisconsin. She was a great lady and our love goes to cousins Kenny, Duane, Mary Ann, and Roger.
