Belva B. Monroe , age 80, of Adams was welcomed into heaven , Wednesday, May 25, 2011, following her courageous battle with cancer.
Belva was born September 6, 1930, in Milwaukee to August and Luella (Stratton) Heidger. Belva grew up in Hancock, WI. She married Hubert B. Monroe January 17, 1951. Hubert and Belva moved to Adams in 1957 where they owned and operated H. Monroe Inc. The couple was blessed with ten children. Belva retired from the family business in 1993. Belva moved to Shelly, ID, in 2009 to live with her oldest daughter, Penny Youngs, where she received special nursing care during her courageous battle with cancer. Belva was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening, houseplants, picking mushrooms, rummage sales, watching wildlife, travelling and watching her grandchildren play. One of her greatest pleasures was sitting by the pond.
Belva was preceded in death by her parents, August and Luella (Stratton) Heidger; husband, Hubert Monroe; sister, Josephine Lueck (Arleigh) and daughter, Patsy Chavez (Albert).
Belva is survived by three sons; James (Marianne) Monroe, John Monroe, David (Brenda) Monroe, all of Adams. Six daughters; Penny Youngs (Henry) of Shelly, ID, Mary Monroe-Erdmann (Code) of Adams, Teresa Marti (Robert) of Arkdale, Julia Van Buskirk (Eric) of Lynchburg, VA , Lorraine Marti (Roger) of Adams, and Michelle Jarvis (Charles) of Nekoosa. Brothers; Joseph Heidger of Almond, Claire Heidger (Pat) of Almond, August Heidger Jr. (Bonnie) of Hortonville, Robert Heidger (Sharon) of Waupaca, Stanley Heidger of Almond, and George Heidger of Almond and sister, Mary Hintz ( Malcolm) of Amond, WI. Also survived by 23 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 2, 2011, at the home of her son, James Monroe, 786 C May Street, Adams, WI. Pastor Drue Erdmann will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until the time of service.

I will miss her at my rummage sale. She would come over and set and help me have my rummage sale.She is in good hands now. God will take good care of her.She will not have to suffer any more.I will still miss her. So sorry for your loss.

So sorry to learn of your mother’s passing. She is in a far better place and no more suffering. We are never prepared for this time even though it happens to everyone. She will be with my mother now.
