Betty Lou (Mertes) Keefe

Betty Lou (Mertes) Keefe passed away July 1, 2010 at Villa Pines Living Center. She was preceded in death by her husband William (Sparky) Keefe. She is survived by her son Phillip (Judy) Keefe, grandchildren Matthew (Angie) and Ashley; great-granddaughter Ayla; sister Sylvia; long time companion Jerry Fogarty, and a number of nieces and nephews. Betty was born in Adams on February 17, 1929 to Paul and Mary Mertes. She graduated from A-F High School in 1947 and lived the majority of her life in Adams County.

The family would like to thank the staff at Villa Pines for their excellent care during her stay.

In keeping with her wishes, no services will be held.

    Betty was such a joy to take care of. Even in her final days, she still managed to smile at everyone who visited her. I only wish I had more time to get to know her. She will be truly missed by all.
