Bob Collins of Adams and Minocqua passed away on September 3 in Minocqua. He was 70 years old.
While Bob spent most of his life in Adams-Friendship area, those that knew him, knew he could never stand to be in one place too long…Phillips, Minocqua, Woodruff and Daytona Beach were also happily called home. He spent his life doing everything exactly as he wished: building 2 successful businesses, roaming the state looking at equipment (or just for a good hot dog!) and spending time with family and friends. Grandkids, Abby, Mitch, Riley and Liv were a great source of entertainment and pride. “It was a great life.”
A private funeral service for family will be held at the Easton cemetery on Sunday, September 7.
Linda, Jeff, Kate (Paul) and the grandkids will welcome friends and family for a get together at the Springville Town Hall, 3143 Hwy 13, WI Dells. from 1-5 on Sunday afternoon.

So sad to lose a good man like Bob. He will be missed by his family, friends and neighbors. Having grown up with Bob and his brother Dick we had a lot of good times, Halloween – letting cows out, throwing rotten potatoes at houses. And the Wednesday night Free Shows were very memorable. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

May your heart and soul find peace and comfort during this time of loss.
Linda & family,
Oh, where to begin? Great times were had with this man – AF racing, building a convertible stock car, offset wheeled parade car, and of course to feed our bad habits, pulping and Christmas Mountain. We talked within the last couple of years and I found him to be the same Bob I enjoyed spending time with in our youth, still passionate about family and good deals. May he rest in peace!
I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. I didn’t even know the man, but when I think of him, I smile. This is only because of the fondness for the man was very evident in every conversation. I guess he will be able to take that Collins sense of humor to God’s door and keep things in line up there.
Saddened to hear about Bob’s passing. Prayers to your family.
I’m sorry I can’t be there, but my thoughts and condolences go with the rest of our family.
Linda and Family, We send our Love
