Caroline Margaret Henriksen

Caroline Margaret Henriksen, age 91, of Arkdale, Wisconsin passed away on August 10, 2011 at the Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church in Arkdale, Wisconsin. Pastor Terri Skildum will officiate. Interment will be at the East Arkdale Cemetery, Arkdale, Wisconsin.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the time of service on Sunday at Arkdale Trinity Lutheran Church.

Caroline was born July 13, 1920 in Arkdale, Wisconsin to Hans and Hilda (Olson) Pedersen. She graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1939. Caroline married Kenneth Henriksen on November 21, 1942 in Adams, Wisconsin. She worked for the Selective Service during WWII. She worked the family farm for many years and then worked as a bookkeeper for the dairy in Friendship. Caroline later worked for the Adams County Highway Department as a bookkeeper until her retirement.

She enjoyed music, reading, crosswords, puzzles and traveling.

Caroline was a life member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was Organist at the Church for 30 years. She was a life member of the A-F VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Strongs Prairie Community Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hans & Hilda Pedersen; husband, Kenneth Henriksen; son, Dennis Henriksen; Grandson, Scott Berry; brother, Norman (Eleanor) Pedersen; brother, Roy Pedersen; Brother in Law, Frank Williams; Brother in Law, Garland Chaffee and three nephews.
