Cecil Maxine Van Beek

Cecil Maxine Van Beek, age 78, of rural Wisconsin Dells was born to eternal life on May 1, 2007 at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Center, Princeton, Wisconsin.

She was born to life on December 19, 1928 in the Town of Jackson, Adams County, Wisconsin, the youngest child of Loy and Anna (Schad) Coon. After attending rural grade schools she graduated from Westfield High School in 1947.

On October 21, 1950 she was united in marriage to Gerrit Van Beek at Davis Corners, to this union was born five children. They owned and operated a small dairy farm in Twin Valley until 1962 when they purchased and moved to a larger farm also in the Town of Springville, Adams County, WI. She enjoyed her daily school bus routes until retirement, playing cards, and serving the Township as Clerk for over 47 years.

Cecil was preceded in death by husband Gerrit (1989); sister, Leah (Clifford) Morgan; brother, Warren Coon; son, Sheldon Van Beek (1984); and sister and brother-in-law, Paulina (Lester) Richardt.

Surviving her are two daughters, Berniece J. (Thomas) Tangney, Wisconsin Dells, Elaine (Patrick) Miller, Waupun. Two sons Larry (Diane) Van Beek, Grand Marsh, Lloyd (Pamela) Van Beek, Wisconsin Dells. A sister-in-law Elizabeth Coon, Wisconsin Dells. Grandchildren Tom (Melissa) Van Beek, Fond du Lac, Michelle (Shawn) Van Beek, LaCrescent, MN, Christopher Van Beek, Oxford, Joseph Van Beek, Madison, Brooke and Reba Van Beek, Wisconsin Dells, Danita and Marcel Miller, Waupun, Patrick (Laurie) Tangney, Portage, Michael Tangney, Baraboo, and Dennis (Pamela) Tangney, Goldsboro, NC.

Funeral Services will be held at the Davis Corners United Methodist Church, County Road I, Wisconsin Dells, on Monday, May 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Easton Cemetery, Town of Easton, Adams County. Visitation with the family is Sunday, May 6, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Roseberrys Funeral Home, Friendship, WI.

Roseberrys Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
