Charles M. “Duke” Straka, age 77, of Adams, Wisconsin passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017, at his home.
Memorial services will be 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wisconsin. Rev. Bob will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00 until the time of service on Thursday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
Charles was born July 26, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois to Otto and Gloria Straka.
He married Alice Gasper on August 8, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois.
Charles was employed at Swift & Co. in Chicago for 10 years and at Grande Cheese in Friendship for over 25 years.
He enjoyed his dogs, bowling, golfing, working in his garden, and spending time on his computer. His very favorite thing in life was Sunday dinners with his family.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Otto & Gloria Straka.

Daughter: Denise Straka of Friendship, Wisconsin
Granddaughter: Heather (Colton Peterson) Straka of North Carolina
Granddaughter: Emily Straka of Friendship, Wisconsin

Sorry to hear that Chuck has passed. I was privileged to work with him for a number years at Grande. I always enjoyed listening to the stories of his early years growing up in Chicago, and his “colorful” opinions of events at the plant. Farewell Chuck, you are missed.
